October 2018, house sitting in Queensland, Australia

After 13 weeks in the UK, The Netherlands and Belgium, I am back in Australia.

Beautiful views from the verandah, these photos show 'before and after' some much needed rain.

I'm house sitting at Boonah, part of the Scenic Rim, Queensland. The house is on 8 acres, 10km from town.

I'm looking after 2 cats, some chickens, two parrots and the garden.

Wallabies grazing on the lawn - before the rain.

September 2018, house sitting in Bishop Auckland, UK

Bishop Auckland market square with the town hall and a church

Bishop Auckland is in NE England, not far from Durham.

I was house sitting in this lovely house looking after Tula, the dog.

Looking towards Bishop Auckland.

Baby Castle, not far from Bishop Auckland, was open to the public and it was in beautiful condition.

September 2018, house sitting near Northampton, UK

I looked after Albert in a small village called Tiffiield,  near Northampton. Tiffield has 150 houses, a pub, a school and a church. There were lots of other villages in the area.
The High Street, Tiffield

Lots of thatched cottages in the area. This one was in a village near by.

Tiffield pub on a Saturday night. It reminded me of a private bar from the 1970's. The coaster collection was impressive.

There were several mansions in the area and this one was still lived in by family members but a large section was open to the public. The estate belonging to the Spencer family (Lady Diana) is also in this area.

August, 2018 - travelling in The Netherlands

I stayed in Harlem, 15 minutes by train from Amsterdam.

I had a wonderful reunion with one of my ex students. The last time I saw Ivanka she was 7. She now lives in The Hague.
